Jentrix Shikangwa and Corazone Aquino have returned to the Harambee Starlets fold after being included in head coach Godfrey Oduor’s 43-player provisional squad for the 2028 CAF Women’s Olympic qualifiers against Seychelles.

Shikangwa, who plays for Egyptian side FC Masar, and Tanzania-based Simba Queens midfielder Aquino were notably absent from the Harambee Starlets squad that featured at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) under former head coach Beldine Odemba.

Their return provides Oduor with additional options as he begins preparations for Kenya’s Olympic qualification campaign.

Panetolikos GFS forward Catherine Khaemba has also earned a recall after missing the WAFCON due to injury.

Oduor has meanwhile handed five players their maiden call-ups as he looks to build a squad capable of navigating the two-legged first-round tie against Seychelles.

The first leg is scheduled for October 8 in Seychelles, with the return fixture set for October 12 at Nairobi’s Nyayo National Stadium.

The aggregate winner will progress to the next round of the African qualification campaign.

The 2028 Olympic women’s football tournament will be held in Los Angeles, United States, with two African teams set to qualify for the Games.
