A section of a four-storey building collapsed in Mamboleo, opposite Mamboleo Stadium in Kisumu County, at around 6:20 a.m. on Monday.
The Kenya Red Cross confirmed that eight people were injured in the incident.
Two people sustained critical injuries and were rushed to hospital, while six others suffered minor injuries.
Response teams were deployed to the scene to assist with evacuations and emergency response.
