NCBA Group is expanding its digital property marketplace, PropertyDuka, to Nakuru and Naivasha as the bank seeks to connect more buyers, investors and developers with property listings and financing solutions. The expansion was announced on November 2, 2026, following engagements with property-sector players in the two towns.
The platform has attracted more than 625,000 active users and currently features 216 property listings, according to information shared during the expansion. The bank is targeting regional property markets where developers and real estate agencies are seeking greater visibility among prospective buyers.
PropertyDuka uses artificial intelligence to support property discovery by connecting users with developers and real estate professionals. The platform is designed to bring property searches and financial services closer together, allowing prospective buyers to explore available listings and access relevant financing options.
NCBA Group Head of Retail Services Phillip Omondi said the expansion would give property developers in Nakuru and Naivasha an opportunity to reach a wider market. He said the platform would also connect buyers with financing options, supporting the bank's ambition to integrate digital property discovery with financial services.
The expansion comes as regional towns continue to attract investment in residential, commercial and rental developments. Nakuru and Naivasha have growing property markets supported by commercial activity, infrastructure development, tourism and demand for housing.
For developers, digital marketplaces can provide an additional channel for marketing properties beyond traditional agents and physical sales offices. Buyers, meanwhile, can use online listings to compare available options before engaging developers or seeking financing.
NCBA's strategy is to position PropertyDuka as more than a listings platform by integrating property discovery with lending and other services. This approach could shorten the process between identifying a property and exploring the financial options needed to purchase it.
The platform's growing user base provides an indication of interest in digital property services, although user numbers alone do not establish how many transactions have been completed. The number of active listings and applications for bank products will be important indicators of its commercial performance.
NCBA plans to deepen engagement with local developers, real estate agencies and investors as it expands the platform's presence beyond its existing markets. Its next challenge will be increasing relevant listings and converting online interest into completed property transactions and financing applications.
