The latest round of UEFA Nations League action has produced a mixture of high-scoring victories, significant draws and important results in the race for positions across the groups.

At the Stade de France, Italy held France to a 1-1 draw in Zinedine Zidane’s first home match as France coach.

Michael Olise put France ahead in the second half before Alessandro Bastoni equalised for Italy. France finished with 10 men after Dayot Upamecano was sent off late in the match.

France remain top of Group A1 on seven points, with Belgium one point behind.

Belgium kept the pressure on France with a convincing 3-0 victory over Türkiye. Kevin De Bruyne scored twice before Romelu Lukaku completed the win.

The result leaves Belgium on six points after three matches, while Türkiye remain without a point.

One of the round's biggest surprises came in Group B2, where Northern Ireland defeated Ukraine 3-0.

Ciaron Brown scored twice and Isaac Price added another as Northern Ireland moved to seven points from three matches without conceding a goal.

Poland produced the largest victory of the round, defeating 10-man Romania 6-0.

Robert Lewandowski scored a hat-trick after Romania defender Radu Drăgușin was sent off in the first half.

In Group B4, Bosnia and Herzegovina drew 1-1 with Sweden in Edin Džeko’s final international appearance.

The 40-year-old striker was substituted to a standing ovation after making his 152nd appearance for Bosnia.

Earlier in the week, Spain strengthened their position in Group A3 with a 4-1 win over Croatia, extending their unbeaten run to 40 matches.

Lamine Yamal scored twice, while England followed their opening defeat by Spain with a 2-0 victory over the Czech Republic.

Portugal also made a strong start to Matchday 3, beating Denmark 4-2 away, while Germany defeated Serbia 2-0 and Greece drew 2-2 with the Netherlands.

Wales recovered from their earlier defeat by Portugal by beating Norway 2-1.
