Rainfall is expected in several parts of Kenya between September 22 and 28,2026, with the Coast, Northeastern, Western, Central and parts of the Rift Valley likely to receive showers.
In its seven-day weather outlook, the Kenya Meteorological Department said several counties are likely to experience rainfall during the period.
The counties include Mombasa, Kwale, Kilifi, Tana River, Lamu, Garissa, Mandera, Wajir, Marsabit, Nairobi, Murang’a, Nyeri, Nakuru, Kericho, Kisumu, Kakamega, Kisii, Busia, Bungoma, Uasin Gishu, Narok, Bomet, Nandi, Siaya, Homa Bay, Migori, Nyamira, Vihiga, Kitui, Makueni, Tharaka-Nithi, Nyandarua, Baringo, Elgeyo-Marakwet and Trans Nzoia, among other areas.
Meteo Kenya also forecast high daytime temperatures in some counties, with average maximum temperatures expected to exceed 30°C in Kilifi, Tana River, Lamu, Garissa, Wajir, Isiolo, Marsabit and Turkana.
Meanwhile, some areas are expected to experience cold nights, with minimum temperatures dropping below 10°C in parts of Meru, Tharaka-Nithi, Kirinyaga, Murang’a, Nyeri, Nakuru, Narok, Taita-Taveta and Kajiado counties.
Residents are advised to follow weather updates as conditions are expected to vary across the country during the week.
