Gor Mahia has introduced season tickets for its home matches, becoming the first Kenyan football club to offer fans the option. This innovative move is expected to enhance the matchday experience for supporters and strengthen the bond between the club and its loyal fan base. The champions will start selling the tickets ahead of their opening match of the new season against Murang’a Seal on Saturday at Nyayo Stadium.
The season tickets will cover all 17 of Gor Mahia’s home league matches, giving supporters an option to pay for the games in advance. This initiative not only simplifies the ticket purchasing process for fans but also ensures that they can secure their seats for the entire season without the hassle of buying individual tickets for each match.
The club has also offered a 20% discount on all three ticket categories, making it more affordable for fans to support their team. A regular season ticket will cost KSh4,080, while the VIP ticket will go for KSh13,600. The VVIP package has been set at KSh40,800. These pricing options cater to a wide range of fans, allowing them to choose a ticket that best fits their budget and preferences.
The move, the club says, gives Gor Mahia fans a cheaper way to attend the team’s home matches throughout the season without having to buy a ticket for every game. This strategic decision by Gor Mahia not only aims to increase attendance at matches but also reflects the club's commitment to enhancing the overall fan experience. By introducing season tickets, Gor Mahia is setting a precedent in Kenyan football, potentially paving the way for other clubs to follow suit in the future.
As the new season approaches, excitement is building among fans, and the introduction of season tickets is likely to contribute to a vibrant atmosphere at Nyayo Stadium. The club's management hopes that this initiative will foster a stronger sense of community among supporters, encouraging them to rally behind the team as they compete for honors in the upcoming season. With the first match against Murang’a Seal just around the corner, fans are eager to see how this new ticketing system will impact attendance and overall support for the team.
