A huge traffic snarl-up is expected around the University of Nairobi on Friday,18th September as more than 3,000 graduants, parents and guests gather for the university’s 75th Graduation Ceremony.
The ceremony will be held at the Chancellor’s Court from 7:30a.m, where graduands will be awarded with degrees and diplomas.
The university has put in place different entry points to manage the expected crowds.
Graduants and pedestrians will use St. Paul’s Gate, while parents and other guests will enter through Chiromo Gate. Vehicles for guests will be parked at the Chiromo Campus parking lots.
VIPs and VVIPs will use the Museum Gate along Uhuru Highway.
The university has asked those attending to use the designated gates and parking areas to help ease traffic and movement around the campus.
The ceremony is held under the theme, “Transforming Society through Excellence, Knowledge and Innovation.”
The 75th graduation marks another milestone for the University of Nairobi as it prepares to host thousands of people for the event.
