The Social Health Authority (SHA) has announced a series of provider contracting clinics across the country to help healthcare facilities experiencing challenges with the e-contracting process.
In a notice dated October 9, 2026, SHA Chief Executive Officer Dr Mercy Mwangangi said the clinics would provide technical and administrative support to healthcare providers seeking assistance with the contracting process.
The clinics, dubbed Hakika Provider Contracting Clinics, will address challenges relating to application submission, portal access, documentation, Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements, benefits selection, as well as contract review and signing.
SHA says the clinics will be held at all county headquarters from Thursday, October 8, to Tuesday, October 13, 2026, excluding Sunday, October 11.
In Nairobi, the exercise will take place at the SHA Auditorium from Monday, October 12, to Wednesday, October 14.
Healthcare providers attending the clinics have been advised to carry a laptop or tablet, a charger and soft copies of all applicable contracting documents to facilitate the process.
The required documents include facility registration certificates, valid operating licences, business or organisational registration documents, KRA PIN certificates and valid tax compliance certificates.
Facilities are also expected to provide SHA compliance records, NSSF compliance certificates, relevant professional licences, and professional and facility indemnity cover documents where applicable.
Additional requirements include fire safety compliance certificates, National Construction and Public Works Department compliance certificates, NEMA licences or other environmental compliance documents, and Office of the Data Protection Commissioner registration certificates.
Where applicable, providers should also present laboratory and pharmacy registration documents, National Cancer Institute accreditation, equipment licences and authorisations, including Kenya Nuclear Regulatory Authority documentation.
SHA has further asked facilities to carry bank account confirmation documents bearing their registered names, identification and authorisation documents for facility representatives or contract signatories, and details of the services, benefits and interventions they offer.
Providers experiencing difficulties with the contracting process have been advised to bring screenshots or other details illustrating the challenges they face.
They should also have access to their facility's registered email address and telephone number for verification purposes.
Facilities with outstanding documentation will still be allowed to attend the clinics with the documents available and details of pending applications to receive guidance on the next steps.
The authority has urged healthcare providers seeking venue details and additional assistance to contact their respective SHA county offices.
The clinics come as SHA continues to facilitate healthcare provider contracting, with the exercise intended to help facilities navigate the application and documentation requirements and address outstanding issues affecting their contracting process.
