The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has cautioned members of the public against engaging with fake social media accounts posing as the authority on TikTok, X , Facebook and Instagram.
In a public notice, NTSA said fraudsters were using impersonation accounts to mislead members of the public and potentially obtain their personal information.
The authority reminded Kenyans that it communicates only through its verified and official channels.
These include X through @ntsa_kenya, Facebook under NTSA KENYA, WhatsApp via NTSA, YouTube through NTSA_Kenya, and its official website, www.ntsa.go.ke.
The authority also listed info@ntsa.go.ke and customer service contacts 0709932000/300 as its official communication channels.
NTSA urged anyone who comes across a suspicious account claiming to represent the authority not to engage with it, but instead to block and report
