American actor Dean Norris, best known for playing Hank Schrader in the television series *Breaking Bad*, is going through a divorce from his longtime wife, Bridget Norris, as the couple also faces financial difficulties surrounding their restaurant business.
According to court documents obtained by entertainment outlet TMZ, Bridget filed for divorce in Riverside County, California, in 2025, citing irreconcilable differences.
The filing lists October 27, 2001, as the date of their marriage and January 15, 2025, as the date of separation, bringing their more than two-decade relationship to an end.
The couple share five children, including two minors identified in the court documents as Zoe, 17, and Dean, 16.
In her divorce petition, Bridget requested joint legal and physical custody of their children, indicating that both parents should retain responsibilities in making important decisions about their upbringing and share custody arrangements.
She also sought spousal support and asked the court to determine the rights of both parties to property and assets acquired during their marriage.
Dean is reported to have responded to the divorce proceedings several months after the initial filing. However, available court records cited by TMZ indicate that the divorce had not been finalised at the time of publication.
The separation comes as the couple deals with financial challenges involving their restaurant, Swing Inn Cafe, located in Temecula, California.
Court records show that the business is undergoing Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings. Dean and Bridget acquired the restaurant in 2022, adding it to their business interests outside the entertainment industry.
According to the bankruptcy documents, Dean reported that the cafe experienced a significant drop in gross revenue between 2024 and 2025, with earnings declining by approximately $1 million.
The financial records further indicate that the business estimated its assets at between $100,000 and $500,000, while its liabilities were listed at between $1 million and $10 million.
Despite their public profiles, Dean and Bridget have generally kept details of their family and private lives away from public attention.
Beyond Swing Inn Cafe, the couple have also been involved in managing the Norris Performing Arts Center, another part of their business interests.
Dean gained widespread recognition through his portrayal of Hank Schrader, a Drug Enforcement Administration agent, in the popular crime drama Breaking Bad.
The actor has also appeared in several other television productions and films throughout his career.
Neither Dean nor Bridget had publicly offered extensive comments on the divorce and financial proceedings in the information reported by TMZ.
