Veteran Nigerian actor Olu Jacobs has died at the age of 84, prompting an outpouring of tributes and renewed interest in his remarkable career and reflections on Nollywood.
The actor’s death was announced by his son, Olusoji Jacobs, in an Instagram post.
The family paid tribute to him as “The Lion of Lufodo” while appealing to bloggers and social media influencers to respect their privacy as they mourned.
