Police in Mbooni East, Makueni County, are investigating a house fire in Mbumbuni town that claimed the lives of two children.
Mbooni East Police Commander Joseph Lenaikero said the victims, a four-year-old girl and a two-year-old boy, had been left alone when the house caught fire.
The children died at the scene. The cause of the fire remains unknown.
Meanwhile, the bodies of the two children have been moved to Tawa Funeral Home in Makueni County.
