President William Ruto has congratulated Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed after he was re-elected for a second term.
In a message, Ruto described Abiy’s re-election by the Ethiopian House of People’s Representatives as a sign of confidence in his leadership and vision for Ethiopia.
Ruto wished the Ethiopian leader success as he continues to implement the country’s transformation agenda.
The President said Kenya is ready to work closely with Ethiopia to strengthen ties and pursue shared interests for the benefit of the two countries and the wider region.
He also expressed hope for continued cooperation on matters affecting the region and the international community.
