Kenya Power has announced planned power maintenance in parts of Nairobi, Machakos, Kakamega and Bungoma counties today, Sunday, September 13, 2026.
In Nairobi, parts of Westlands, including Brookside Groove, Grevillea Groove, School Lane, Matundu Lane and Muthyaga Green Brookside Drive, will be without power from 9am to 5pm.
In Machakos County, the affected areas along Mombasa Road include Alpharama, Old Mombasa Road, Petrocity, Sabaki Estate, Greatwall Gardens, Tamarin, London Distillers, Lifecare, Sapphire Business Park, Signature Mall, Ngwata, Katangaita and KPLC offices in Mlolongo. The interruption is scheduled for 9am to 5pm.
In Kakamega County, areas supplied by the West Kenya Sugar line, including Chegulo, Mahima, Kulumbeni, Makhukhuni, Musaga Market, Chekata, Malava Market, Samtsi, Khalenda and West Kenya Sugar, will experience an outage from 8:30am to 5pm.
Meanwhile, parts of Bungoma County, including Webuye Jaggery, Kapsokwony, Munyikana, Mwalim House, Section of Dinah, United Millers, Molo, Santa Barbara, Malaha, Sirisia and adjacent areas, are scheduled for maintenance from 8am to 5pm.
Kenya Power says the interruptions are part of planned maintenance works.
