A family dispute over land has left the remains of Mama Yuniah Bochaberi Oseko in the morgue for six years, following her death on September 2, 2020.
The woman’s body has reportedly remained unburied as family members continue to disagree over the circumstances surrounding her burial.
In a painful turn of events, one of her daughters has since died, raising the possibility that she could be laid to rest before her mother, who has yet to receive a final send-off.
The family had earlier announced the death of Yuniah Bochaberi Oseko and held a fundraising drive to support funeral expenses, with the burial date to be announced later.
The latest development has renewed attention on the prolonged family dispute, which has prevented the deceased from being buried six years after her death.
