A Kwale court has sentenced 57-year-old Chamambo Mangale Ngati to 20 years in prison after he was found guilty of defiling a 13-year-old girl.
Ngati, who is alleged to have been practising traditional healing in the Mandingo area of Kwale County, was sentenced after the court found him guilty following the hearing of the case.
The sentence comes amid continued concerns over sexual violence against children, with communities, parents and law enforcement agencies urged to remain vigilant in protecting children from abuse
