The 2026 Kenya Primary School Education Assessment, KPSEA, is scheduled to conclude on Wednesday, October 28, with candidates sitting their final papers in Creative Arts and Social Studies.
According to the timetable issued by the Kenya National Examinations Council, KNEC, the examination will run from 8.30am to 10.10am for standard-paper candidates, marking the final day of the national assessment for primary school learners.
Candidates using large-print examination papers will sit the same paper for the same duration, while those using Braille will have additional time, with their examination scheduled to end at 10.40am.
The conclusion of KPSEA marks an important milestone for candidates who have been assessing as part of the transition from primary school to junior school.
Parents, teachers and school administrators will now await the next steps in the assessment process and the eventual release of results by KNEC.
Meanwhile, Wednesday marks the third day of the 2026 Kenya Junior School Education Assessment, KJSEA, with Grade Nine candidates scheduled to sit Mathematics in the morning before proceeding to Agriculture later in the day.
According to the examination timetable, Mathematics will run from 8.30am to 10.30am, followed by a 30-minute break before the afternoon paper.
Candidates will then sit Agriculture from 11.30am to 1.10pm, bringing the day's examinations to a close for those using standard papers.
However, candidates using Braille will be allowed additional time to complete both papers. Their Mathematics examination is scheduled to end at 11am, while the Agriculture paper will conclude at 1.40pm.
The staggered examination times are intended to accommodate candidates using different examination formats, ensuring they have the prescribed time to complete their papers.
The KJSEA is a key assessment for learners completing Grade Nine under Kenya's Competency-Based Curriculum.
It is designed to assess learners' competencies and inform their transition to senior school, where they will pursue pathways aligned with their interests, abilities and career aspirations.
