The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) has announced a temporary partial closure of Mombasa Road (A8) at Cabanas, affecting the Eastern Bypass off-ramp on the JKIA-bound side.
The closure will remain in effect until **Thursday, October 22, 2026**, to facilitate the construction of a box drain, an underground structure designed to collect and redirect surface water.
Motorists accessing Mombasa Road from the Eastern Bypass will be required to use the designated diversion lane.
KeNHA has urged motorists to follow the traffic management plan and cooperate with police officers and traffic marshals to minimise disruptions.
