The Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has confirmed that fuel prices in Kenya will remain unchanged for the next 30 days, effective from September 15 to October 14, 2026. This decision affects the maximum allowed petroleum pump prices for Super Petrol, Diesel, and Kerosene.
In Nairobi, Super Petrol will retail at Ksh214.03 per litre, Diesel at Ksh217.86, and Kerosene at Ksh191.38. Mombasa will see Super Petrol priced at Ksh210.87, Diesel at Ksh214.58, and Kerosene at Ksh188.09. In Kisumu, the prices for the three products will be Ksh218.90 for Super Petrol, Ksh223.24 for Diesel, and Ksh196.77 for Kerosene.
Motorists in Nakuru will pay Ksh216.68 for Super Petrol, Ksh220.68 for Diesel, and Ksh194.22 for Kerosene. Eldoret's prices are slightly higher, with Super Petrol at Ksh220.09, Diesel at Ksh224.68, and Kerosene at Ksh198.35. The variation in pump prices across major towns is attributed to transportation and other costs.
In Meru, Super Petrol will retail at Ksh218.67, Diesel at Ksh222.85, and Kerosene at Ksh196.35. Garissa will record prices of Ksh220.40 for Super Petrol, Ksh224.70 for Diesel, and Ksh198.21 for Kerosene. The highest prices in the latest schedule are found in Eldas, where Super Petrol will cost Ksh231.45 per litre, Diesel Ksh236.57, and Kerosene Ksh210.09.
EPRA has stated that these prices are inclusive of Value Added Tax and will remain in effect until October 14, 2026. The regulator noted that the decision to keep the pump prices unchanged is based on the applicable pricing formula, despite fluctuations in the international cost of petroleum products.
