England manager Thomas Tuchel has dismissed suggestions that Premier League clubs should have a say in how often their players feature during the international break.
England are facing a demanding schedule, with four Nations League matches in a short period.
They began the run with a defeat by World Cup holders Spain on Saturday.
Tuchel's side travel to the Czech Republic on Tuesday before facing Croatia on Saturday and hosting the Czech Republic again on October 6.
The congested fixture list has raised concerns over players who had limited rest following the World Cup, with calls for some of them to be rested during the international window.
Tuchel, however, said he would not manage his players' minutes based on requests from club managers.
“I don't take calls from Premier League managers. I never called any national team coach when I was in club football,” Tuchel told reporters.
The German said resting players simply to accommodate club concerns could affect the team's approach and undermine the trust placed in those selected to play.
“I cannot manage the minutes of the players. It's just impossible,” he said.
Tuchel added that England's objective was to win every match and suggested he could retain several players in the starting line-up to maintain continuity.
England will face the Czech Republic at Prague's Fortuna Arena on Tuesday, with Tuchel insisting there would be no attempt to take an overly cautious approach.
“We need to be proactive,” he said. “There is no room for managing the players or an economic style. It's how the team want to play, how we want to play, so let's go.”
