Three suspects have been arrested and bhang recovered in a multi-agency crackdown on narcotics trafficking in Kiambu and Busia counties.
In Kiambu East, detectives raided a residential property in Runda Palm Garden, Thindigua, where they discovered a bhang plantation and arrested Geoffrey Otata, 32.
In Ruiru, police arrested John Mutunga, 26, in the Rainbow area with 80 rolls and a sachet of bhang.
Meanwhile, at the Kenya-Uganda border in Busia, officers intercepted a red TVS motorcycle carrying two consignments of bhang concealed in a sack of potatoes. The rider, Stephen Kimalo Juma, 45, was arrested.
The three suspects are being processed pending arraignment, while the recovered bhang has been secured as exhibits.
