Police in Kitutu Chache South, Kisii County, are investigating the death of a Form Three student who was allegedly stabbed by his father while bathing behind their home in the Itibo, Iranda area.
According to reports, the teenager was bathing when his father allegedly attacked him with a sharp object, leaving him with serious injuries.
The student later died from the injuries sustained in the incident.
Family members have told police that the father had allegedly threatened to stab the teenager several days before the fatal attack, raising questions about the events that preceded the incident.
However, the circumstances surrounding the alleged stabbing remain unclear as detectives continue to investigate what may have triggered the confrontation.
The suspect is expected to face legal action once investigations are completed.
Meanwhile, the student’s body has been moved to a mortuary, where it is being preserved pending a postmortem examination to establish the cause of death.
