Police have arrested two suspects linked to a series of robberies in Kamulu, Nairobi, after an intelligence-led operation led to the recovery of dozens of mobile phones and other property.
Officers from Kamulu Police Station raided a rented house on September 26, where the two suspects were believed to be staying, following days of investigations into the reported robberies.
According to the National Police Service (NPS), officers recovered suspected stolen property from the house before the suspects provided information that led investigators to several other locations in Kayole Township.
The subsequent searches led to the recovery of additional property believed to have been hidden at the secondary locations. Among the items recovered were 30 mobile phones, three laptops, a motorcycle, a sound system and a television set. Police also recovered several identity cards, SIM cards and token meters during the operation.
The two suspects were arrested and placed in police custody pending arraignment, while the recovered items were secured as exhibits as investigations continue.
The NPS said the operation was part of ongoing efforts to tackle criminal activities through intelligence-led policing, investigations and targeted operations.
The service has urged members of the public to continue providing information on suspicious activities to help investigators trace stolen property and disrupt criminal networks.
