Suspected thugs killed a night guard after an alleged attempt to gain access to a hotel in the Landi Ouko area of Kolwa Central, Kisumu East Sub-County.
The guard was reportedly attacked while seated on his chair and hit on the head with a blunt object. He sustained serious injuries and bled to death at the scene.
According to residents, an unknown number of suspected thugs had attempted to access the hotel, allegedly with the intention of carrying out a robbery, but their efforts were unsuccessful.
Police officers arrived at the scene and removed the guard’s body as investigations into the incident got underway.
