Internal Security and National Administration Principal Secretary Dr. Raymond Omollo has joined senior government officials for the second National Development Implementation Committee (NDIC) meeting of 2026 in Nairobi.

The meeting, held at the Kenya School of Government, was chaired by Prime Cabinet Secretary and Foreign Affairs Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi.

The committee provides a platform for government ministries to coordinate development programmes, assess implementation progress and address challenges affecting the delivery of public projects.

During the meeting, Dr. Omollo highlighted the role of the Ministry of Interior in creating a secure environment necessary for government projects and development programmes to succeed across the country.

He pointed to security reforms, the use of technology in public administration and the role of National Government Administration Officers (NGAOs) in taking government services closer to citizens.

The Principal Secretary emphasised that security and effective administration are important in supporting the implementation of government projects in different parts of the country.

The meeting also reviewed progress made in implementing key government programmes at the mid-term stage, with discussions focusing on improving coordination between ministries and strengthening accountability in the use of public funds.

Officials further stressed the need to speed up the delivery of major infrastructure and social development projects to ensure that public investments translate into tangible benefits for Kenyans.

The committee's discussions centred on improving the execution of government programmes, addressing implementation gaps and ensuring that ministries work together towards shared national development priorities.

NDIC brings together government leadership and officials to monitor the progress of public programmes and ensure that agreed priorities are translated into action.

The meeting reaffirmed the government's focus on improving coordination, strengthening oversight and accelerating project implementation across the country.

Through the committee, ministries are expected to align their activities and track progress to improve the delivery of development projects and public services across all 47 counties.
