Wiper Patriotic Front (WPF) leader and Ukambani Alliance (TUA) party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has arrived in London, United Kingdom, for a series of official engagements focused on strengthening economic partnerships, attracting investment to Kenya and outlining his political agenda ahead of the 2027 General Election.
According to a press statement issued by Wiper Patriotic Front spokesperson Ndegwa Njiru on Monday, October 12, 2026, Musyoka's visit will include engagements at the House of Commons and Chatham House, bringing together political and business leaders to discuss Kenya's economic prospects and its position in the East African region.
Musyoka was, at the time of going to Press, at the House of Commons, where he was the chief guest at a special evening reception hosted by the Westminster Africa Business Group in partnership with the Eastern Africa Association.
The event is hosted by Sir Gavin Williamson, a Member of Parliament and chair of the Westminster Africa Business Group, who represents Stone, Great Wyrley and Penkridge.
Held under the theme “Kenya as a Regional Financial Hub and the Future of East African Capital Markets,” the reception brings together key stakeholders to examine Kenya's potential to strengthen its position as a regional financial centre and mobilise African capital to support the continent's economic transformation.
The discussions are also expected to explore opportunities for deeper trade and investment ties between Kenya, the United Kingdom and the wider international community, as countries in the region seek partnerships to support economic growth and development.
Kenya's ambition to position itself as a regional financial hub is closely linked to its established financial services sector, strategic location and role as a gateway to East African markets. Strengthening international partnerships could help attract investment, expand trade and support businesses operating across the region.
On Tuesday, October 13, Musyoka is scheduled to deliver a keynote address at Chatham House, a London-based international affairs think tank.
His address, titled “The Opposition's Outlook and Policy Agenda on the Road to 10 August 2027,” will outline his assessment of Kenya's political and economic direction as the country approaches the next General Election.
The engagement is expected to provide an opportunity for Musyoka to articulate the opposition's policy priorities and perspectives on Kenya's future, including the political and governance questions likely to shape the 2027 electoral contest.
The visit comes as political parties and leaders position themselves ahead of the 2027 elections, with economic management, investment, governance and the country's development priorities expected to feature prominently in the campaign period.
Wiper Patriotic Front said the engagements reflect Musyoka's commitment to advancing constructive international partnerships, strengthening Kenya's economic prospects and articulating a policy agenda for the country's future.
The party did not provide further details on other planned engagements during the London visit, if any.
