The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has stepped up operations against criminal gangs and related activities in Buruburu Sub-County as it seeks to improve security for residents.

Buruburu Sub-County Criminal Investigations Officer Simon Kirui said intelligence-led policing, faster investigations and cooperation with residents have helped police respond to crime in the area.

He added that the DCI is also using technology, intelligence sharing and working with other security agencies to prevent and investigate criminal activities.

He urged residents to work closely with law enforcement officers by sharing information that could help prevent crimes and lead to the arrest of suspects.

Kirui said the National Police Service remains committed to working with the community through its open-door policy.

Residents have been advised to report emergencies through the National Police Service hotlines 999, 911 or 112.
