CBK Raises Sh57.5 Billion From Reopened 15-Year and 20-Year Treasury Bonds, Beating Sh50 Billion Target
The Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) raised ksh57.5 billion on Wednesday, September 30, from reopened 15-year and 20-year Treasury bonds to fund the government’s budget, after investors submitted bids worth Ksh80.56 billion against a Ksh50 billion target, a performance rate of 161.1%. The sale was the second month in a row in which the Treasury reopened the same two bonds, aiming to build on the demand they drew last month.
