Saboti MP and People's Renaissance Movement (PRM) party leader Caleb Amisi has called for clarification over claims that voters could be brought into Kenya from neighbouring countries ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Amisi questioned Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen’s recent visit to Uganda and took issue with remarks by Health CS Aden Duale suggesting that voters from Somalia could participate in Kenya’s elections.
The legislator has urged the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) to address the claims and explain to the public what measures are in place to ensure only eligible Kenyan citizens participate in the electoral process.
Amisi said the commission should provide clarity to ease concerns surrounding voter registration and the integrity of the 2027 elections.
