Police have arrested a 23-year-old man at the Lunga Lunga border while allegedly attempting to cross into Tanzania on a motorcycle suspected to have been stolen.
James Kengo Joto was intercepted with a Haojin motorcycle bearing registration number KMHB 072H, which police believe is connected to a reported motorcycle theft.
The motorcycle was seized and taken into police custody as investigations continue.
Joto is being held at Kubo Police Station in Shimba Hills and is expected to appear in court on Tuesday.
Police are also hunting for a second suspect who allegedly escaped and remains at large.
Investigations are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the alleged theft and the suspects' attempted movement into Tanzania.
