Equity Hawks have booked their place in the semifinals of the National Women’s Basketball Premier League playoffs after completing a 2-0 quarterfinal series sweep over Zetech Sparks.
The bankers secured a commanding 96-37 victory in Game Two at Nyayo Gymnasium in Nairobi on Thursday night, following their 75-38 win in the opening game a day earlier.
Coached by Ben Oluoch, Equity dominated from the start, taking the first quarter 22-4 before extending their lead with a 23-4 advantage in the second quarter to head into halftime 45-8 ahead.
The bankers continued their impressive display after the break, winning the third quarter 29-16 and finishing strongly with a 22-13 victory in the final quarter to seal their place in the last four.
